FrostBite Privacy Policy

1. Scope
This policy describes the privacy practices of FrostBite 1.0 (build 7), a winter-themed match-three game for iPhone from Cape Fear Devs. It applies specifically to this build, including its TestFlight distribution. It does not claim that future versions will have the same features or data practices.
For this build of FrostBite, the app-specific details on this page apply instead of the advertising, purchases, accounts, and cloud-sync features described for other apps in our general privacy policy.
2. Local game data
FrostBite saves two gameplay values in local storage on your device:
- Your high score.
- The highest board you have unlocked.
These values let you keep your progress between play sessions. FrostBite does not send them to Cape Fear Devs or operate a server-side account for your progress. The current build does not offer Game Center, an online leaderboard, or app-managed iCloud synchronization.
3. Collection and sharing
This build does not require an account or sign-in. The app does not transmit personal information or gameplay data to Cape Fear Devs.
- No advertisements or advertising SDKs.
- No in-app purchases or subscriptions.
- No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- No cross-app tracking or advertising-identifier collection.
We do not sell FrostBite player information or use gameplay progress for advertising. The app does not request access to your contacts, location, photos, camera, microphone, or health data.
4. Apple services
Apple provides app distribution through the App Store and, for beta testers, TestFlight. Apple handles account and download information under its own policies. App Store diagnostic sharing with developers depends on your Apple settings.
If you use TestFlight, Apple automatically collects crash logs and beta-app usage information and shares them with Cape Fear Devs. TestFlight does not offer an opt-out from that collection. Information can include device and app details and, depending on how you were invited, your name and email address. Feedback you choose to submit is also shared with us. We use this beta information to investigate problems and improve FrostBite, and do not share it with third parties.
Device backups may include the app’s local data according to your Apple settings. Backup and restore are separate from FrostBite’s own functionality; this build has no app-managed cloud-sync service.
Read Apple’s App Store privacy information, TestFlight & Privacy, and Apple’s Privacy Policy.
5. Contact and support
If you choose to email philanco@hotmail.com, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use that information to respond to your request and provide support. This is separate from data handled by the game. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information in a support message.
6. Retention and choices
Your high score and unlocked-board progress remain in local app storage until that data is deleted. Deleting the app through iOS removes its local app data; offloading the app keeps its documents and data. A device backup may restore earlier data. You can manage backups and App Store diagnostic-sharing settings through Apple’s device and account settings. Those settings do not disable TestFlight’s automatic beta-data collection.
We do not hold a server-side copy of your FrostBite progress that we can retrieve or delete. If you have sent us support information, contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. We retain support correspondence only as needed to address your request and meet applicable legal obligations.
We use Apple-provided beta diagnostics and feedback while investigating issues and improving the app. Apple controls retention within TestFlight under its policy; any copies we keep for support are retained only as needed to resolve the issue or meet legal obligations. Contact us for requests concerning beta information available to us.
7. Children’s privacy
This build does not ask players to provide personal information, regardless of age. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through a support request, contact us so we can address it.
8. Policy changes
If a later version adds data collection, advertising, purchases, online accounts, or other services, we will update the relevant privacy disclosures to describe those practices. This policy is limited to the version identified above.
