Cape Fear Devs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile applications.

This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile applications published by Cape Fear Devs, including:
- Simple Habits Daily Tracker
- Ripple Wave Puzzle
- Simply Done: Daily Tasks
As we release additional apps, they will be listed here and covered by this policy, with app-specific details added under Section 9.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information needed to provide app functionality.
Depending on the app, this may include:
- Data you create in the app (for example, habit names, progress, and settings)
- Purchase and subscription status needed to unlock paid features
- Notification preferences and permission state, when reminders are enabled
- Advertising-related data from ad SDKs in free tiers where ads are shown (for example, device and ad identifiers, IP address, ad interactions, and diagnostics/performance signals)
- Basic technical data provided by Apple for app operations
We do not sell personal information.
3. How We Use Information
We use data to:
- Provide and maintain app features
- Save your preferences and progress
- Process and restore in-app purchases/subscriptions
- Serve and measure ads in supported free-tier experiences
- Prevent abuse/fraud and maintain service integrity
- Improve app reliability and performance
- Comply with legal obligations
4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Some apps offer paid features through Apple In-App Purchases or Subscriptions.
Payments are processed by Apple, not by Cape Fear Devs. We do not receive your full payment card information.
We may use purchase entitlement information (for example, active subscription status) to enable premium features.
For apps with auto-renewable subscriptions, Terms of Use are available at Apple Standard EULA and on our Terms of Use page.
5. Data Storage and Retention
App data may be stored locally on your device and/or in Apple services associated with your Apple account, depending on app features.
We retain data only as long as needed for app functionality, legal compliance, and support.
6. Third-Party Services
Our apps may rely on Apple services and APIs, including:
- App Store and StoreKit (purchases/subscriptions)
- TestFlight (beta distribution)
- Google AdMob (ads in supported free-tier app experiences)
If any app uses additional third-party services (for example analytics, ads, or crash reporting), that app section in Section 9 will disclose it. Where required by law, we may use consent messaging tools provided by ad partners to support regional privacy choices.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our apps are not directed to children under 13 unless explicitly stated in the app listing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will address it.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information.
You can also:
- Manage subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings
- Control notification permissions in iOS Settings
- Use device-level privacy controls in iOS (such as ad personalization/tracking controls, where available)
- Delete app data by uninstalling the app (local device data)

9. App-Specific Privacy Details
9.1 Simple Habits Daily Tracker
What the app does: Tracks habits, daily progress, streaks, and history.
Data used by the app:
- Habit entries you create (name, target amount)
- Progress and completion history
- Local app settings (for example, preferences)
- Purchase status for premium access (monthly, annual, lifetime), if applicable
- Optional ad-related data processed by Google AdMob in the free version
How data is handled:
- Habit and progress data are primarily stored on-device
- Subscription and purchase processing is handled by Apple
- If ads are shown, Google AdMob may process device and ad identifiers, IP address, ad interaction data, and diagnostics/performance data under Google's policies
- We do not sell this data
Tracking/Advertising:
- Simple Habits may display Google AdMob ads in the free experience (for example, banner ads)
- Purchasing Simple Habits Premium removes ads in the premium experience
9.2 Ripple Wave Puzzle
What the app does:
Ripple Wave Puzzle is a puzzle game with Voyage levels, a Daily puzzle, a weekly Impossible puzzle, optional Game Center leaderboards, optional social sharing, and optional premium unlocks.
Data used by the app:
- Gameplay/progress data you generate (level progress, puzzle results, streaks, moves, lives, settings, badges)
- Purchase entitlement status for Ripple Premium (to unlock premium features)
- Optional Game Center profile/leaderboard data if you sign in to Game Center
- Optional ad-related data processed by Google AdMob in the free version
- Optional share text you choose to send through the iOS share sheet
- Optional local analytics/event logs stored on-device for app diagnostics and balancing
How data is handled:
- Core gameplay data is stored locally on your device.
- Purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- If you use Game Center, Apple processes Game Center account and leaderboard data.
- If ads are shown, Google AdMob may process device and ad identifiers and ad interaction data under Google's policies.
- We do not sell personal information.
Tracking/Advertising:
- Ripple may display Google AdMob ads in the free experience (for example, rewarded and banner ads).
- Purchasing Ripple Premium removes ads in the premium experience.
9.3 Simply Done: Daily Tasks
What the app does:
Simply Done helps users create and manage tasks, recurring tasks, archives, completion history, and optional focus/check-in workflows.
Data used by the app:
- Task data you create (task title, status, recurrence, archive/completion state, and timestamps)
- Completion and focus history, theme/settings preferences, and app reminder preferences
- Purchase entitlement status for Simply Done Pro (monthly, annual, lifetime), when applicable
- Optional notification permission status and reminder schedule choices
- Optional ad-related data processed by Google AdMob in the free version
How data is handled:
- Core task and preference data is stored primarily on-device.
- Widget display values may be shared between app and widget using Apple App Groups on-device.
- Purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- If ads are shown, Google AdMob may process device and ad identifiers, IP address, ad interaction data, and diagnostics/performance data under Google's policies.
- We do not sell personal information.
Tracking/Advertising:
- Simply Done may display Google AdMob banner ads in the free experience.
- Purchasing Simply Done Pro removes ads in the premium experience.
User choices:
- You can disable reminders in the app settings or iOS notification settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.
10. International Users
If you use our apps outside the United States, your information may be processed in accordance with applicable local laws.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date at the top when changes are made.
